Software Developers
Oracle America, Inc. has openings for Software Developer in Independence, OH. Design, develop, troubleshoot and/or test/QA software. Work with automation frameworks and delivering ongoing automation of performance benchmark test cases. Development focuses on product usability/stability, lifecycle and interoperability aspects with internal and external products/technology of the integration space. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggesting improvements to the architecture. Investigate performance and scalability issues in next generation Fusions Enterprise Application and Oracle Public Cloud based on Fusion middleware. Improve performance and high-end scalability of our Application Servers, WebLogic/Glasssfish, J2EE/SOA/Web 2.0, and Oracle Public Cloud releases. Solve complex performance issues in algorithms and design paradigms in distributed systems. Coordinate with several functional teams such as QA and Development teams as well as Product Managers and System Engineers.
Employer will accept a Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or related technical field and 2 years of work experience in job offered or 2 years of work experience in a Software Engineer-related occupation. Experience must include:
1. Software development, testing, support and related activities. 2. Designing and implementing algorithms using data structures in JAVA programming language. 3. Designing, developing deploying, testing and debugging of web based applications. 4. Servlets, JSP, HTML, REST-SOAP based WebServices, Java RMI, JMS, JDBC, XML processing, web application servers like Glassfish. 5. Operating Systems UNIX/Linux , Windows 7/Server and application servers like IBM Web Application Server, Oracle Weblogic Server, Apache/Tomcat. 6. Performance analysis in a Java/J2EE environment and associated tools including Mission Control, JDK Analysis Tool. 7. Writing scripts for automation using languages such as shell scripting, VB scripting. Experience may be gained concurrently.
