Flynn Restaurant Group Flynn Restaurant Group Independence, OH Independence, OH Full-time Full-time $21 - $22 an hour $21 - $22 an hour 11 days ago 11 days ago 11 days ago Position Description The Worker's Compensation Analyst is responsible for assuring the quality and cost-effectiveness of the workers' compensation claims management process including strategy development, analysis of risk and plans to move claims to closure.
Investigates and communicates w/ operators, witnesses and third parties to resolve claims.
Assists group with the day-to-day claims handling, forecasting and analysis for claims and risk administration expenses and performance.
Position interfaces with all levels of personnel in addressing claims management questions, explaining results, variances from expectation and processes / procedures.
Essential responsibilities will include:
Conduct day-to-day claims administration to investigate and manage claims.
Assist with the preparation of executive-ready management reports including claims administration performance and cost savings.
Establish interface guidelines and communication channels between all parties, including the claims office, managed care nurses, operations and supervisors.
Partner with safety and risk control to help identify adverse trends, mitigate exposures and educate management.
Ensure proper Medicare reporting on behalf of organization.
Ensure policies and procedures are in compliance with changing regulations as they pertain to the business.
Control costs through, implementation and oversight of the medical cost containment program as it pertains to initial treatment facilities, physical therapy, durable medical equipment, diagnostics and pharmacy benefits.
Monitor workers' compensation claims for modified duty potential, pursue modified work release from physicians and work with restaurant managers and human resources to establish job assignment.
Access and interpret data from multiple internal and external databases.
Desired Skills and Experience College degree and related state certifications strongly preferred.
Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in the claims industry, including:
workers' compensation experience with understanding of laws, acts, regulations and systems governing workers' compensation, medical management, best practice file audit techniques.
Strong computer and analytical skills, with the ability to exercise self-direction and initiative, and make decisions in a fast paced changing work environment.
Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Demonstrated ability to realize company cost-containment opportunities.
Proven ability for team participation including ability to implement efficient work processes, problem prevention identification and resolution skills.
Flexibility for meeting multiple demands and ability to utilize and effective time management planning process.
