ReliabilityFirst's mission is to preserve and enhance the reliability, security, and resilience of the Bulk Power System across 13 states and the District of Columbia.
ReliabilityFirst is uniquely positioned to work closely with transmission, generation, and other power companies as well as the federal government to help identify and ensure the mitigation of operational risks and physical and cyber security threats to the electric grid.
Purpose of Position:
The IT Specialist will be responsible for supporting our in-house IT department in providing technical assistance, maintaining both cloud and on-prem systems, strengthening our cybersecurity posture, and helping to implement and train staff on new technologies.
It is also desirable for this position to be able to research and present to the IT team information regarding IT best practices and improvements to our existing processes and systems.
Key
Responsibilities:
1.
Work directly with staff and customers on software-related issues to minimize delays2.
Under IT staff guidance, install, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems, both hardware and software3.
Monitor our technology stack for issues and analyze our security reports for threats4.
Break down data from multiple sources and provide trends and areas of improvement to the IT Department5.
Work with all staff to share in technology training6.
Participate in multiple IT projects and commitments7.
Participate in performance process and applying feedback8.
Willing to travel up to (10%)
Qualifications:
1.
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or Technical degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
2.
Computer skills:
Experience or Knowledge in system security, networking, servers, and cloud-based SaaS.
Desirable:
1.
Knowledge of computer systems and software2.
Knowledge of networking3.
Familiarity with foundational networking4.
Desire to learn further cloud-based cybersecurity5.
Willing to train and troubleshoot end-users6.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills7.
Strong communication and customer service skills8.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
