Proforma is seeking an intern to join our Marketing Department and support our public relations and marketing communications efforts. This is a part time (minimum of 15 hours per week) internship.

This internship will give a public relations student hands-on experience in a corporate PR/Mar Com setting, learning the processes and methods of producing professional public relations and internal communications. He or she will also be heavily involved in creating a public relations campaign, which will include developing a pitch, identifying media contacts, selecting necessary pitch materials and executing the campaign.
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proficient communicator with excellent writing skills. This individual must thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple projects concurrently.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Writing and proofing internal communications
Writing Proforma blog articles
Writing and proofing press releases
Building media lists using Meltwater software
Proforma news monitoring and tracking
Help develop annual Convention PR campaign
Requirements:
Must be available to work a minimum of 15 hours a week
Applicants must be majoring in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or a related field.
Internship will run May - August
Submitting writing samples is helpful: coursework, press releases, newsletters, articles, short stories, etc.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
